NAWLA PAKISTAn

Nawla Pakistan unites experts, activists, survivors, and communities to combat child and forced marriage in Pakistan and worldwide. We are committed to ensuring that every girl has the right to education, the freedom to pursue her dreams, and a life without fear or oppression.

About Nawla Pakistan

Nawla Pakistan was founded with a deep commitment to creating a society where every girl has the right to education, independence, and a future free from fear and oppression. Our organization emerged from the urgent need to combat child and forced marriages in Pakistan, driven by the belief that every child deserves to grow, learn, and dream without limitations.

Our Mission and Purpose

At Nawla Pakistan, we strive to protect and empower young girls and vulnerable individuals by advocating for their rights, spreading awareness, and actively working towards policy changes. Our mission is to eliminate harmful practices that hinder personal growth and social progress while providing support and guidance to those affected.

How We Started

Nawla Pakistan began as a small initiative with a few dedicated individuals who recognized the harsh reality of forced marriages and gender-based oppression in various communities. Witnessing the struggles of young girls deprived of education and choice, we took action by raising awareness, engaging with local leaders, and offering direct support to survivors. Over time, our efforts expanded, transforming into a larger movement that now reaches multiple communities across Pakistan.

The Causes We Work For

Our work primarily focuses on:

  • Ending Child and Forced Marriage: Through education, legal advocacy, and community engagement, we aim to eradicate this practice and promote gender equality.

  • Girls’ Education and Empowerment: We support initiatives that enable girls to complete their education and gain skills for a brighter future.

  • Legal and Policy Reform: Nawla Pakistan collaborates with policymakers to strengthen laws that protect women and children from forced marriages and other forms of exploitation.

  • Community Outreach and Awareness: We conduct seminars, workshops, and campaigns to educate families about the importance of gender equality and the long-term benefits of empowering young girls.

Join Our Mission

Ending child and forced marriage is not just our mission—it is a collective responsibility. With your support, we can continue to fight for justice, empower young girls, and build a future where every child is free to choose their path in life.

Together, we can create lasting change. Be a part of Nawla Pakistan’s journey towards a safer, more equal world.

At Nawla Pakistan, we envision a society where every girl has the right to education, the freedom to make her own choices, and the opportunity to build a future free from fear, oppression, and forced marriage. Our vision is to create a world where harmful traditions no longer dictate a child’s destiny, and where families and communities uplift and empower their daughters instead of holding them back.

We strive for a Pakistan where:

  • Every child is given the chance to complete their education without the threat of early marriage.

  • Girls are seen as equals and are given the same opportunities as boys to grow, succeed, and shape their futures.

  • Laws protect the vulnerable and ensure justice for those affected by forced marriages and gender-based violence.

  • Communities are educated and empowered to break the cycle of harmful practices and build a brighter future for the next generation.

Our Initiatives
At Nawla, we believe in creating tangible change through targeted initiatives that address critical issues women and girls face globally. From menstrual health advocacy to STEM education, our programs aim to empower, educate, and uplift communities.

1. The Power Project

Periods should never be a barrier to education, dignity, or daily life. Through the Power Project, Nawla has distributed thousands of hygiene kits to underserved communities, ensuring access to essential products. We have collaborated with international and domestic organizations to raise awareness about period poverty and push for sustainable solutions.

2. STEM for Her

Women are underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and Nawla is working to change that. STEM for Her is a mentorship and education program that provides young girls with access to coding workshops, hands-on science experiments, and opportunities to connect with women leaders in STEM fields. Through school partnerships and online resources, we equip girls with the confidence and knowledge to pursue STEM careers.

3. Women’s Legal Rights & Empowerment

Understanding and accessing legal rights is a challenge for many women, particularly in marginalized communities. This initiative focuses on providing legal literacy workshops, access to pro bono legal advice, and advocacy efforts that push for gender-sensitive legal reforms. Nawla collaborates with lawyers, legal organizations, and activists to help women navigate family law, workplace discrimination, and domestic violence cases.

4. Educate to Empower

Education is the foundation of empowerment. Through our Educate to Empower initiative, Nawla has provided books, scholarships, and educational resources to young girls facing financial and social barriers. By hosting literacy workshops and mentorship programs, we help ensure that no girl is denied her right to education.

5. Safe Haven Project

Domestic violence is a silent crisis affecting millions of women worldwide. The Safe Haven Project focuses on supporting survivors by partnering with domestic violence shelters, helplines, and crisis intervention organizations. Nawla has helped raise funds for shelters, provide emergency care packages, and advocate for stronger protections for survivors.

6. Women’s Entrepreneurship & Financial Freedom

Financial independence is key to breaking cycles of dependency and poverty. This initiative provides business training, microfinance opportunities, and skill development workshops for women looking to start or grow their own businesses. From small-scale artisans to tech entrepreneurs, Nawla empowers women to take control of their financial futures.

7. Online Advocacy & Awareness Campaigns

Social media is a powerful tool for change, and Nawla harnesses its reach to amplify women’s voices and issues. Through campaigns on gender-based violence, workplace equality, and body autonomy, we educate audiences, raise funds, and spark conversations that lead to action.
